Spiritual Support
Spiritual & Religious Care
Georgian Bay General Hospital has a full time (nondenominational) Chaplain who coordinates a spiritual and religious care team that includes: clergy of the Huronia area, lay pastoral visitors who represent their parishes and/or provide volunteer pastoral care, and volunteer on-call chaplains.
Whatever the need – an understanding listener, a visitor when lonely, religious counsel, referral to a specific church or spiritual advisor, prayer, sacraments, literature … we can help.
We believe it is the patient/resident’s right to have their religious/spiritual needs met or to refuse unwanted visits of a religious nature.
