WELCOME

Dear Patients and Families,

Welcome to Georgian Bay General Hospital (GBGH). We are a
community hospital, dedicated to improving the health of the
communities we serve.

While with us, we want to make sure you have the most positive
experience possible. If there’s anything our care team can do to
improve your experience, please let us know. You can speak to
one of our managers or staff to provide feedback about what
we’re doing well or where we can improve.

As part of our commitment to ensuring you have a positive
experience, this handbook has been created to provide you and
your loved ones with important information about your safety,
the hospital and its services. It will answer many questions you
may have regarding spiritual care, personal identification and
belongings while in the hospital, television/telephone service and
discharge information.

We hope this patient handbook answers many of your questions
while at GBGH. Please don’t hesitate to ask a member of your care
team if you have additional requests, especially if it is something
that can be addressed immediately during your stay. This is an
